Internal Communication
A list of the VMT email addresses, telephone and fax numbers will be available on the first Udiex Newsflash as well as on the UDIEX-UDIEX ALEP web site.
Communication via email between partners and VMT is highly recommended and encouraged for day to day contact.
External Communication
Communication at local, regional, national and European levels is encouraged where possible. The project website and Newsflash will be produced and implemented by the VMT to develop the external knowledge of the project and disseminate project results.
Web site and Udiex Platform
All the project information and communication products will be contained on the URBACT web site www.urbact.org, on the specific UDIEX-UDIEX ALEP web pages allocated to the network implemented by the VMT.
Progress with regard to the project will be periodically updated, together with notification of forthcoming events. Moreover all the report from the ALEP programme (Venice Session and Topic based workshop) together with the useful information for the ALEP participants will be web based. The UDIEX newsflash will also be available on the web.
UDIEX News flash
The UDIEX Newsflash will be implemented by the VMT and aims to establish an electronic on line service for all participants to ensure information and communication as means for on-going feedback on the development of the project. One News Flash will be emailed by the VMT to all the project partners and ALEP Participants every six weeks and will be also made available on the web.
As for the web site, the UDIEX Newsflash will be used to provide updates on UDIEX-UDIEX ALEP activities and achievements and encourage participation in forthcoming sessions and workshops.
The management structure of the project is composed by the Steering Committee and the Venice Management Team.
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee (SC) is the focal point for the management of the project and the main forum for the management of UDIEX-UDIEX ALEP partnership relations.
The SC is composed by one member from each Partner City who will meet 4 times during the life of the project.
Duties of the SC:
- Review of performance against objectives
- Contribute and participate in the evaluation of the project
- Agree forward action plan for project development
Key actions to be taken by SC:
- Agree and identify subjects for 8 topic based workshops
- Agree host cities for the first two workshops and relative timing
- Agree and identify Project Partners teams for UDIEX- DIEX ALEP workshops
- Agree and validate methodology for identifying participants in UDIEX-ALEP from Partner cities
- Agree on time table for recruiting participants for the UDIEX-UDIEX ALEP programme
- Agree on information and communication strategies

Venice Management Team (VMT)
The VMT, chaired by the Project Manager, is the official representative of UDIEX-UDIEX ALEP and the legal channel of communication with the EU.
Functions of VMT are implemented by:

Venice Management Team (VMT) Members (pdf document)
The project will be bringing together over 350 key actors at a local level who are involved in urban regeneration initiatives. This will include local politicians, local entrepreneurs and also people actively involved at a community level in their respective neighbourhoods.
UDIEX
- Establish a UDIEX platform of over 100 cities/towns/organizations that are not involved in URBAN or URBACT
- Establish a UDIEX on-line Mentoring and Coaching Service
- Disseminate results to UDIEX platform members
- Generate guidelines for future interventions in areas of high Diversity and In-clusion for underpinning European, national, regional and local programmes
- Disseminate results within the URBACT Programme via the general website and the specific web pages allocated to the network
- Produce regular half-yearly monitoring reports
- Produce periodic evaluation reports
UDIEX-ALEP
- Creating a multi-discipline, multi-sector staff development linked exchange programme for between 300 - 400 key actors from 24 cities / towns
- Eight topic based reports highlighting good practise and key trends
- Eight topic linked case-study reports
- Six cross topic reports relating to Diversity and Inclusion
- Final report arising from the “Venice Sessions”
